By my estimation, this was around 300GB of data that just got removed from my hard drives without my consent. I log in and notice that my entire game library has been removed as a side effect of the launcher uninstall. Some time passes and I finally get the installer downloaded. So imagine my surprise when the status page updates and it turns out that it was on Epic's end after all (at this point the uninstall was already done and I was waiting for the installer download to stop timing out). Due to the outage experienced currently on Epic services ( Jun 10, 21:31 UTC at the time of writing), I tried reinstalling the epic games launcher because the status page had not yet updated and I thought the issue was on my end and previous suggestions mentioned reinstalling might fix the issue.
Warning: this is a bit ranty as I'm pretty annoyed at the current launcher behaviour. There might be legitimate reasons to reinstall the client and losing the entire game library as a consequence causes profound sadness. TL DR: When the Epic games launcher is uninstalled, don't remove the local game files without asking the user first.
